Preschool

Our Preschool classrooms are divided by age groups and are staffed by workers who care about your children. This ministry is dedicated to supplementing the family in their endeavor to lay a spiritual foundation that will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

We utilize learning centers to provide a variety of experiences to teach your children about God. The centers include the following:

  2. Praise & Worship: Teaches Bible truths through praise and worship and rhythm instruments.
  3. Arts & Craft Center: Painting, gluing, cutting, sharing, tracing, and folding; learning to share and cooperate.
  4. Dramatic Play Center: Acting out Bible truths, sharing, language, friendships, and helping activities.
  5. Games, Small Manipulative, and Nature Center: Discovering God’s wonders, counting, patterning, sorting, visual understanding, puzzles, learning to use our senses and growing plants.
  6. Block Center: Cooperation, sharing, respecting the rights and ideas of others, problem solving, self-control, and bible truths.

Children In Action (C.I.A)

Children in Action (C.I.A.) is our Children’s Ministry Program at Heart of the Bay Christian Center.

Children from the 1st to 6th grade are ministered to in an atmosphere that is fun, loving, and exciting. We believe that in order to enter the world of a child you must first go through the doors of their interest. Children learn and are impacted in life in numerous ways.

The children at Heart of the Bay Christian Center participate in their own services which include praise and worship, teaching, prayer, object lessons, puppet and drama skits, arts and crafts, funny characters and so much more.

During any given service a “theme” is introduced. The theme is incorporated into the message taught by the Children’s Ministers and an outstanding group of adults and youth, who provide practical, age-appropriate ministry that enables the children to receive understanding of God and His Word. Praise and worship includes songs built around this theme, as well as the puppet and drama skits which are used to illustrate the theme.

We also count it a privilege to have our Oneighty Youth volunteers help with the services, which gives the children an opportunity to see youth in action for Jesus.

C.I.A receives communion once a month the same day it is received in the Sanctuary.

At C.I.A. your child will enjoy:

  •     Exciting Ministry
  •     Puppet and Drama Skit
  •     Caring Christian Supervision
  •     Quality Curriculum
  •     Games, Arts and Crafts
  •     Treasury House

What is Treasury House?
Once a month our Treasury House is open for business. Treasury House is where children can spend their “T-Bills” (Treasury Bills) they have earned in Children’s Church. The children receive T-Bills for coming to Children’s Church, bringing their Bibles, participating and helping. Treasury House has great items to purchase ranging from 1 to 50 T-Bills.

Yearly Activities
Our yearly activities include Vacation Bible School where kids enjoy an exciting and fun-filled time of craft and sport activities, puppet programs, music, and teachings. We also have our Christmas musical each year, which is always a delight for the kids and adults alike.

Our Schedule
C.I.A. meets Sundays at 11:00 AM. Children go directly to class at the beginning of service.

Oneighty | Youth Ministry

Oneighty is the youth ministry of Heart of the Bay Christian Center. It is an exciting ministry that reaches out to youth ages 12 to 18.

Oneighty is about real life - the hard questions facing youth today. The decisions they have to make every day - the importance of good friends. If you are a teen, you know the pressure you're under to “follow the crowd.” It is the plan of Oneighty to help teenagers follow Christ by showing them how to practically apply God's Word for their own life and to be an example of His love so they in turn can affect and help change the lives of others. We see a movement of teenagers who will not just sit back and watch their world be lost.

At Oneighty you will find Christian friends who share your values and your struggles, friends you can just be yourself around and not have to put on a front or pretend to be cool. This is a place where being a Christian doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time!

Oneighty meets Sunday mornings during our 11:00 AM service except the first Sunday of the month.

Events
We participate in small groups, outreaches, mission trips, evangelism, fun trips to Great America, Boomers, Six Flags, Santa Cruz and many other activities throughout the year. Small Groups are seasonal. Please check out the calendar for our Youth Only small group sessions on Sunday Evenings, and our All Church small groups sessions on Wednesday evenings.
