Month of June

Dear Church and Family,

The month of June is always a very special month for our church family. This is the time of year when we celebrate our Church Anniversary and this year we are celebrating 42 years of ministry!

In the past we have designated one Sunday in June as Anniversary Sunday. This year we are declaring the entire month of June as “Anniversary Appreciation Month.” Instead of focusing on one Sunday, and on Pastor Brenda and I as Pastors of this amazing congregation, we will be highlighting various teams each Sunday during service by showing pictures of the wonderful members that serve on our teams. We feel this is a way we can show our appreciation to every person who serves and makes the ministry of HBCC possible. Our hearts are truly grateful, and we know the success of HBCC is due to all of our participating members.

We also want to say thank you to all who attend HBCC and faithfully sow of your finances. You are deeply appreciated. On Vision Sunday in March, we shared all the wonderful things that have and are continuing to happen through this ministry and the outreaches of our great church! Thank you for being a part of it!

Additionally, we want to celebrate our Church Anniversary together as a family by inviting everyone  to join us for a complimentary Hot Dog Luncheon following the Sunday morning service on June 30th. Plan to be with us for service that day and stay for a delicious lunch immediately following. You’re welcome to dress casual for service that day.

As we celebrate another year of the goodness of God toward our church, we want to give you a      mid-year financial update. Many of you know our Joy of Generosity goal of $550,000 was met at the end of 2023. Because of this, we were able to put $250,000 in reserves as required, which put us at 115% of where we needed to be with our lender by year end.

We want to share with you, our church family, where we are at the present financially and where we need to be. To stay on pace, it seems good to us and to the Holy Spirit’s leading, to do a mid-year goal. So far this year our income from January through May is at 52%. To be at 100% we are believing for $272,000 to be received during the month of June. This will make up for the deficit we have experienced for the first five months of 2024. At the time of this letter, we have $32,000 in our fund for  cash on hand. The $250,000 that is in reserves we don’t want to touch. So, understandably we need a great month financially to get caught up and be in a good position moving forward.

For the month of June, we are asking everyone who is able to bring a special offering showing appreciation to the Lord for His great faithfulness to HBCC. All offerings received for the General Fund and Building Fund (Heart for the House) in June will go toward meeting this mid-year goal.

Church family, thank you for prayerfully considering our request and standing in faith with us. As always, thank you for participating in the vision of HBCC.
