Dear Parent(s): We are pleased to share this most joyous occasion with you. It is our custom at Heart of the Bay Christian Center to dedicate, or set apart, children unto the Lord. We do not consider this a ritual, but rather regard this ceremony as a commitment on the part of the adults presenting their children that they intend to raise them up in the admonition of the Lord. We consider it an act of obedience to the Word of God. We do not baptize or christen children, but as according to the Word of God, children are dedicated to God. After the Dedication Service, when you receive the Baby Dedication Certificate, we invite you to read it carefully. We want to admonish the parents, guardians, and Godparents to consider the commitment that you are making.
